P.E.S Immersion Assembly For Term 2












Today on April the 29th of 2019 we had an exciting Assembly for term 2. Kids were so excited to be back at school. Team 1 had an amazing video and information to share about what they will be learning throughout this term. There video was about endangered animals especially bees & how they can save them by directing bees in the right place. Team 2 experience directing by having a easter hunt. By directing them they were told to look up, down, left, right, undether & over. Team 3 had an amazing video to share there video was about picking a path around GI. There was two choices to pick they either a fast way or the slow way. Team 4s video was about finding their way by using a map & a compass . They were told by there team leader Mr Goodwin that they had to navigate their way back to school By using the follow two objects. Team 5 made a play that was about countries, places, latitude, longitude & directions.

Our speakers

Yesterday we had 3 amazing speaker that came to our school Pt England School. There names were Tanielu Tele’a, Fiona Bakulich & Jason Young. Jason Young is a builder he is a friend of one of our teacher Mrs Tele'a. Another one of our speakers were Tanielu Tele'a he is a great rugby player. He plays for the blues. He shared some great advice about life and family. He always put's his family first. One of his main advice was we could do anything we are more then we can be. Fiona Bakulich is on a T.V show called The Casketeers she helps people on the steers, people that have lost there life and loved one's. She is a caring, loving & amazing person. She helps many people from baby's to adults.

My Haiku

Today We have been learning about Haiku. Haiku is a japans poetry. In the first  line we had to do a 5 syllable words in the second line we had to do a 7 syllables then in the last line we had to do another 5 syllable words. We had to read a Haiku before doing our own. At first I didn't really know how to do a Haiku but now I am used to it. Have you ever done a Haiku Poetry?.

Sharing our Identity.




This week we have made mask's. Our mask's represents our identity. We had discussed what our identity in literacy. We showed our differences. On one side of our mask's we shared something that people knew about us and on the other side of the mask we shared something that no one knew.
